Playing and Composing Music

We are using musical notation to play the glockenspiels and adding other percussion instruments as accompaniment.  Later in the term, we will be composing our own melodies and using non-standard methods to write them down so we can play them again. 

We are really excited about entering Virgin Radio's 12 schools of Christmas competition. We have worked in small groups to come up with lyrics which fit to the rhythm of existing Christmas Songs. Once we have recorded our masterpieces, we will upload them here.  We will then vote for the top three which will be entered! Fingers crossed that we get through to the final...

Some of us are learning how to play the introduction to 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' for the Christmas Concert so they can accompany our choir.
