School Governors
Our governors ensure that the school fulfils its statutory duties, delivers its shared vision and strategy and provides a quality education to all children. They hold leaders to account over the effective use of the school budget / resources. Attendance at meetings is good and there are strong links with teaching staff. The school’s strategic calendar provides opportunities for governor colleagues to visit and undertake link activities. In order to strengthen the school’s governance arrangements, the governing body has recently recruited a new governor who is an experienced chair of governors of two primary schools and a governance professional, having worked with school governors in a professional capacity for over 25 years. He is co-chairing the governing body alongside the current chair of governors and is working with governors to further develop and improve their effectiveness.
