We promote a love of reading through appealing reading areas within classrooms and we have a  beautiful new library in one of our log cabins which we restock with pupil request where possible.  Through the year we have fun reading focused days but more importantly, we foster a love of reading every day.  Our weekly reading assembly is enjoyed by children and staff. There is a weekly focus.

In January 2025, we took our KS2 children to The Leeds Playhouse to see The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe theatre production which brought alive the words from from their class book from Autumn term. We then took our children to see A Christmas Carol in December 2025 and are seeing The Grinch, again at Leeds Playhouse, in December 2026.
