Forest School

We are extremely fortunate that we have a beautiful forest on our school grounds with a fire pit, mud kitchen, mud slide and lots of den making materials. Our children in EYFS access the forest weekly (nursery have 1 session at the start of the week and 1 session at the end of the week and our F2 class go ín the forest on a Thursday afternoon).  Adults plan sessions which are fun and engaging and relate to the curriculum using this wonderful environment

As children move into KS1, there is not a weekly forest session.  Staff use the forest when they are able to link things to their areas of learning.
