Autumn Poems

We have worked really hard to create our Autumn poems ready for Harvest Festival. They were too good not to share!!

The children explored a range of poems, discussed what they liked and disliked before noting down words and phrases they wanted to ‘magpie’ ready to write their own. They used their senses to help them begin each stanza.

As a class, we thought about verbs ending in -ing to describe different things that link to Autumn. The children had fun trying to find words that rhyme.
