Ladybirds

We have been observing our Ladybirds, they started as lava and didn't look much like a ladybird. They then changed into a Pupa or Chrysalis (a bit like a butterfly) and eventually they were Ladybirds and we could see their spots and wings. 

When our ladybirds started to move and we could see them trying to fly we decided to release them. We went on a walk to the forest before opening the pot and letting them crawl out onto our hands. Some of the ladybirds stayed with us and others wanted to fly off straight away! We held them very carefully - look how tiny they were!
