Forest - Owl Babies

On our first Welly Wednesday we read Owl Babies. We had the baby owls, Sarah. Percy and Bill but we could not find their mother owl. We explored the forest area looking for her.

We found her in a tree and we thought of ideas of how we could get her down. We tried climbing the tree but we still couldn't reach her, we tried reaching her with a long stick, but the stick wasn't long enough, so we had to find an enormous one.  Through perseverance and determination we did it and we were so proud!

You can revisit the story of the Owl Babies here...

We enjoyed using the large tubes in the forest. moving them, crawling and rolling over them, and travelling through them.  We were very brave as it was dark inside. We joined the tubes together so we could travel further.

We enjoyed all the space in the forest and using the swings too!

We challenged ourselves to go up the bank and down the mud slide. It wasn't muddy, but the dust made it slippery.

We played in groups and did team work, moving the cargo nets.
