Fireworks and Campfire

We used chalks to make large firework pictures on the floor. Look at the different shapes and sizes we drew.  Some of us wrote our names too! 

We watched Hey Duggee - Stick Badge to learn how we need dry sticks for our campfire. You can watch and join in with the stick dance here... 

We collected sticks of different sizes for our first campfire. We watched as Mrs Shaw used her fire striker, 'fluff' and the smallest sticks to start the fire before adding bigger sticks. We all remained seated on the benches so we were safe. 

We enjoyed our toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate around the campfire, some of our marshmallows were very sticky! 

In the afternoon we sheltered in the fire pit area from the rain, but we loved jumping in puddles on the way back.

We were back at nursery very early so we could get warm and dry.
