Walk to Hoyland 1.4.19

 

We have been reading the book Quick Quack Quentin.

Today the children walked to Hoyland to explore the local environment and help Quentin to fix his Quick Quack.

We looked at all of the different shops in Hoyland.

Can you remember which ones would provide Quentin with an 'A' for his quck?

The children were really good at spotting special friends and many know some of the Set 2 sounds.

 

 

 

 

 

We went into the Library...how many 'A's did we find?

 

 

The children knew to use their quiet voices and did so very well.

 

We searched for books about ducks, adventures and journeys.

 

The children looked through their chosen books with care and attention. They put them back where they had found them and sat quietly for a group story.

 

 

The children were amazing at spotting the different shop signs and identifying what that shop might contain and offer.

The children listened well to the rules whilst being out and about. They worked well with their learning partner and held hands to keep each other safe whilst walking.
