Celebrating Diwali

In the Busy Bears class we feel it is important to celebrate and learn about different festivals.

Diwali is an important holiday in India and is known as the "Festival of lights".

The word Diwali means rows of lighted lamps.

We have had so much fun celebrating Diwali.

We made Rangoli patterns on the playground floor using chalks.

We made Diva lamps using clay.

We squashed, we squeezed, we moulded, we pressed and we pinched.

We decorated the Diva lamps using different coloured glitter.

We even did some Diwali dancing!

We loved Indian music.

The rhythm and the beat was fast but we kept up with it!

We told each other exciting stories using the shadow puppets.

We used the projector to light up the puppets!
