Road Closure

On Thursday 8th July the road was closed outside school, this made the road safer when we were walking to and from school, and there was less air pollution too. 

We brought our bikes and scooters to nursery and we were able to use them on the road. It was great fun!! 

We wore our high-vis vests as we were learning how to keep safe. We travelled on the left hand side of the road. 

We knew no cars, vans, busses or other vehicles could go on the road when it was closed. We discussed what would happen if the emergency services needed to use the road, and how we had to go back on the path quickly if we heard the whistle. 

Some of us took a rest, it was safe to sit and chat on the kerb. 

We used our bikes on the Key Stage One Playground, and developed our skills travelling in and out of cones and through the maze! There were a few traffic jams.
