Spring Hunt

Before going to the forest we joined in singing 'Spring is Here',  click on the image below to listen... 

We walked through the school grounds and we found new shoots or seedlings growing. We saw blossom, flowers, heard the birds singing and noticed the new leaves growing. We found frog spawn in our pond too.  We continued our spring hunt in the forest, ticking off all the signs of spring we had found. 

Look at all the insects and small creatures and we found. 

We found some Mushrooms and Jelly Ear Fungi too

We did some climbing and balancing and used our mud kitchen. 

We did some crawling and slithering like the creatures we found,

so we could travel through the large tubes. 

Unfortunately the wind and rain had damaged our fire pit. It was too dangerous for us to use, so Mr Watson came to make it safe, and we had snack in the willow dome.
