Pond Dipping

We've had a great time discovering the amazing wildlife in our pond. First we watched a video about how the frog spawn will grow and change into a frog.

We found lots of frog spawn, tadpoles and some dragonfly nymph. 

We had to lay on our fronts so we could use the nets safely. 

We transferred our wildlife into a clear bucket so we could look at it closely and we tried to identify the small insects. 

Look at how heavy some of our nets were with so much frog spawn. 

We saw the tadpoles wiggling and swimming around.
