Den Building

When we arrived  in the morning we tip toed into the forest as we saw two squirrels and we didn't want to frighten them away.

When the squirrels had gone we started to make our dens. 

Look at our dens, they were fantastic! We loved sitting inside with our friends. 

We explored positional language as we went inside, outside, behind, in front and underneath. 

In the afternoon we made a den that was big enough for everyone to have snack inside.

We also made shadows! 

We did lots of team work when we were building our dens.  Carrying, moving and lifting the large sheets together. 

Some of us uses a mallet to make some stakes in the ground.

We used pegs to hold our dens in place and join the material together. 

We used rope and string, we had to cut and thread it.

We used lots of wood and sticks for our dens and some of us made 'camp fires' too.
