Giraffe's walk to Owd Martha's Yard

Generous Giraffe's enjoyed a lovely afternoon visiting' Owd Martha's Yard.'

We were all amazed by how beautiful the area was with the lovely plants and colourful flowers in full bloom. The volunteers who have changed this wonderful environment have certainly made it into a child friendly and fun place to visit. One of the best things was being able to access the water from the water butts and fill the watering cans  so that we could water the flowers. We also enjoyed reading the names of the plants and found one named Jasmine and one named Winter Charlie.  

We investigated all the different activities and were amazed to find a small pond with frogspawn in it. We found bugs in a bug hotel and played lots of games that had been made using natural materials. As well as the beautiful plants and flowers there were lots of weeds which we had looked at previously during our walk around school. We enjoyed a lovely muffin from the local deli and hope that we can visit again and take a picnic.
