Winter Walk

Today we went on a Winter Walk. The children thought Jack Frost came to school. 

We spoke about what season we are in and what happens in Winter! 

The children were walking on the ground. I asked "what does it feel like? "

"It's really crunchy and solid". 

"It tough".

"It's really hard". 

We found lots of ice, frozen cobwebs and very small icicles. 

The children found out that freezing means zero degrees or below. 

 "Icicles are when water freezes".

"When it gets cold the icicles will melt". 

We were really happy to come back to the warmth!
