This term we have been very lucky, we have had real life superheroes come to visit Lovely Lions! Before they came, we thought of some really good questions we could ask.
Charity Worker
Some children didn't know what a charity worker was. The children asked
"what does a hero mean to you?"
"how do you get stuff to people?"
"what do you do?"
"what charity do you work for?"
He told us that he had worked for numerous charities, British Heart Foundation, Cash for Kids, Cancer Research and lots more.
The children found out that he gives to children / adults that are less fortunate than us.
He challenged us to a competition and even brought us some 'Heroes' chocolate to take home.
Nurse / Midwife
We had a nurse come to our class too. We found out that she works with babies mostly.
The children asked
"what do you do?"
"how do you get medicine in people?"
"how do you make medicine?"
"how do you get babies out?"
"how do you save people?"
We then got to have a look at some equipment, we felt each others heart beats with the stethoscope.
Police officers
We had police officers visit the class. We got to try their police uniform on. It was really fun.
We asked some excellent questions
"how do you get bad guys?"
"where do you get the police car?"
"what do you do?"
"how do you arrest someone?"
"why do you need handcuffs?"
"why do you get robbers?"
We even got to have a look at a riot van. We found out where criminals go when they get arrested.
We even got to sit in front of the riot van. It was very exciting!
We have loved learning about real life Superheroes!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPS US!
