Fun in the Forest

First of all we listened to the story from 'Hey Duggie'. 

The children really enjoyed listening and dancing to the 'Stick song'.

Mrs Shaw came down to help us start a fire. First we had to get the correct sticks, thin, fat long and small sticks. The children then tried really hard to order them in size. 

Once we found all the sticks, we used them to toast marshmallows. They were really yummy! 

We even had a go at making our own spark using the fire strikers. The children found this tricky but worked really hard. Some of us even got the spark to light cotton wool. 

We all had a brilliant time!
