FIREWORKS AND HEDGEHOGS
We have been reading the story of Hovis the Hedgehog who has to say a sad farewell to his home, as it is being used for a bonfire on Bonfire night.
He scurries to the nearby forest to find shelter and a new home.
We've also been reading on a Cold Dark Night about Ned the Hedgehog who was looking for a home.
We used chalks to create firework shapes and patterns on the Key Stage One playground on our way to the forest.
In the afternoon some of the older children came to help us too.
In the forest we collected some teeny, tiny sticks.
We moulded our clay into a hedgehog shape with a pointy nose and used our sticks for the spikey spines.
