Welly Wednesday - Owl Babies

One of our core books is Owl Babies. You can revisit the story here...

When we arrived at Nursery today Sarah, Percy and Bill wanted to come to the forest with us, to look for their Owl Mother.

We couldn't find her in Nursery. Bill was feeling very sad, he sobbed saying "I want my Mummy!"

We searched the forest calling 'Mother Owl, where are you?' and we found her in a tree. She was stuck and we had to think of ways to help her down.

Theodore thought he could climb the tree like Spiderman and reach her, but she was too high.

Ariana thought we should use a ladder, but we didn't have one in the forest.

Harriet thought we could wiggle the tree and she might fall out, but she was still stuck.

Rocco tried to reach her with a stick. We looked for longer sticks and all tried to reach her.

Kian was taking care of one of the baby owls.

With perseverance and team work we finally got her down and reunited her with her baby owls. There was a big cheer!

We have enjoyed drawing the owls and revisiting our Owl Babies story.

We've been using our small information books too.

We also had time to climb trees, use the mud slide and the tyre swings.
