Science: Animals including humans

We began this unit of work by exploring the anatomy of the human body starting with red blood cells, the heart, lungs and alveoli. The children used either watercolours or sketching pencils to create their masterpieces.

We had fun making paper models of the circulatory system. They were quite challenging!

In our PE lessons we did circuit training and we considered the impact of the exercise on our pulse rates. We also noticed that some of us became quite red and out of breath.
