Lots of problem solving and thinking critically happened today.
What’s in the bin?
Curiosity took over and the children found ways to find out what was in the bins, and how to empty them!
Team work!
We worked together to plan, lift, carry, fix and fasten materials together to make our dens.
The children had great fun testing out the dens, some needed extra work when the rain started!
There was lots of reciting from the story of the Three Little Pigs and plenty of laughing when the wolf got in!
The children were quite competitive as they compared each teams den. The children counted how many could fit inside and used mathematical language to comment on length and height.
The children discovered that we had one den that was much darker than the others.
“The rain is making the mud slide slippery” said Olly, and oh how slippery it was!
The children persevered and worked together to climb the mud slide.
The wet mud assisted some very speedy descending!
A well deserved hot chocolate and snack to warm us up!
