Them bones, them bones, them dinosaur bones!

This week we went on a dinosaur dig!

First we had a look at the different animal skeletons and tried to guess which animal they were.

We used lots of different tools to unearth the bones such as knives, spades and brushes.
We really gave our arms, wrists and hands a good work out.

There were so many different bones.

We found out that the bones broke quite easily so we had to be careful.

”don’t drop them, the bones are delicate” said Kian

We compared the bones that we found, there were so many and lots of different shapes.

”this is a long one I think it’s a leg” said Riley

once we had gathered the bones we needed to piece them all together, it was quite tricky!

”It looks like a skeleton, it could be an elephant one” said Oliver comparing it to the skeleton photos
