Hedgehogs

We have been reading the story about Hovis the Hedgehog who was looking for a new home on Bonfire Night.

When nursery was closed made our own Hedgehogs at home. Look how different and unique each one is... 

In Nursery we made Hovis the Hedgehog using clay.

First we had to roll the clay in-between our palms to make it warm and soft. 

We made a round ball shape and pulled out a point for the snout. 

We then added lots of different items to create a prickly coat of spines. 

We gave our Hedgehog eyes, although we know they don't work very well and so the Hedgehog uses his long snout, whiskers and ears to find food.
