We are reading a story all about a hedgehog called Ned who is looking for a cosy home for the winter. We went into the forest area to design a new home for Ned to hibernate in as we learnt that hedgehogs sleep from November to March.
Kayleigh, Morgan and Logan worked together to create this home. They used twigs and then covered it with leaves to made it warm and cosy. They made sure Ned had an entrance to get into his new home.
The children showed amazing team working skills, we had lots of problems that needed solving such as how to get the sticks to stand up in the ground.
"We learnt that hedgehogs can climb so I am making a high up home to keep him safe."
"I've made a bed" says Charlie.
We worked together to make a doorway, now we need more twigs and leaves to build the rest of the house.
