Roald Dahl Day in Clever Kestrels

We have had a brilliant day to celebrate Roald Dahl's birthday! We started the day of by looking at each other's wonderful costumes! They were so creative. 

We then spent some time finding out about his early life and some of the books that he had written before moving on to doing some science investigations which were really exciting. They were based on the idea of George's Marvellous Medicine!

Later on we were able to create our own character (either a hero or villain) and used some superb vocabulary to describe them.

Finally we designed a chocolate bar based on Charlie And The Chocolate Factory before doing a crossword about Roald Dahl's different books.
