More Bird Feeders

Today we watched JoJo and Gran Gran who were drinking hot chocolate in the park when a Robin landed near their table.

We learnt that some bird fly a long way to a warmer country during Winter.

In the forest we made some more bird feeders for the birds that stay in England during the winter. 

First we squashed butter into our pine cone. The butter was soft, squidgy and sticky. 

We used our fingers and palm to press it into all the tiny gaps. 

We rolled our buttery pine cone in the bird seed. The bird seed stuck to the butter. 

We added string and found a branch to hang our bird feeders on. 

Some of us had great fun on the mud slide too!!
