2017 - 2018 End of Key Stage Results

EYFS Headlines

To achieve 'Good Level of Development' GLD children have to reach the expected levels in 12 out of 17 aspects, and these aspects must be across Personal and Social Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy and Maths.  This year 68% of our children have achieved a GLD within Foundation Stage. This is an increase of 21% as only 47% of children were assessed to be at expected levels on entry to FS2. This is also slight increase on the percentage of children who achieved GLD last year. (2017 = 64%). Within 9 out of the 17 aspects, 81%+ achieved the expected levels.

Since the introduction of the new curriculum in 2016, results are no longer reported as levels and all children now receive their test results as a scaled score with 100 being national expectation.  The scale ranges from 80 – 120 in reading, maths and spelling, punctuation and grammar. There is no scaled score in writing as it is teacher assessment rather than test based. Teacher assessments are based on the standards in the interim framework.
